10:50am: Teach me to fly..
Here is my newest painting, the details are so small they scanned fuzzy but it's quite smooth and pretty in real life. I wish I could show you what it really looks like, it's very nice.



Here a young lady bug asks a fairy for guidance and she shows him just how to spread his wings...

"But I'm afraid to fly, I've never done it before." The little lady bug says in a small voice. "Don't be afraid of what you can accomplish in life or you'll never know of all the exciting wonders just waiting to be discovered." The fae replies in a gentle tone. As she spreads out her graceful wings little lady bug follows in turn.

Just as he closes his eyes a warm breeze passes and catches hold of his open wings and sets him a drift. He buzzes softly away...

1:31pm: A waterlily fairy...
Ok so this one is too big to completely fit on my scanning bed so part of it got chopped off. It's 9" x 12" without the edges of the flower and lily pad. I took a photo of it with my old camera in a room with a 60 watt bulb and it looks all faded lol, it's actually very vibrant in real life, but at least the photo gives you the whole image. This is the kind of painting that looks really neat in real life. I hope you like it!!

1:43pm: The High Priestess Card
I'm feeling a bit under the weather these days, so my productivity has been even lower than usual. I did do this card today and figured I'd show it to you all early although it'll be a bit before I post it for sale. I hope you like her, she's the second card in the tarot. I'm tired now so I'll revamp and edit the information on The High Priestess later. Hope you had a great weekend!

This is my card for the Tarot ACEO Artists group which participates in creating ACEO (3.5" x 2.5" cards) relating to the tarot.

You can collect a deck of selected artists or one particular artist the choice is yours!

The magician card is represented by Mercury. Some interpretations of the magician are lecturer, scientist, doctor, salesman or conman. Charsimatic and persuasive the magician can also be interpreted as clever and skillful, a trickster as well as magician. This card stands for enlightenment- to reveal what was before you all along.

His painted mask represents the darker side of the card trickery, deception ect. His charming smile and sparkling eyes represent the charismatic way of the magician.

The fairies have granted this little goblin girl's wish to be a fairy for Halloween. What fun!!!
I'm going to miss these two cards when they are gone.

12:59pm: Something for Halloween
O.K. so I hit some road blocks..but I've managed my way around them and I'm ready to continue forward! Yey! So finally here is a new piece...she has a name, her name is Christina. Ready for Halloween, when I look at her she reminds me of a good friend.

12:57pm: Book IIlustrations
Renee Mallett is releasing a heavily illustrated fantasy book titled "Mythological Creatures" by Shiffer Books in 2007. It will be a collection of stories and legends from around the world. She has chosen me as one of her illustrators! I look forward to working with Renee Mallett in these up coming months.

12:55pm: Temptress of the Indian Ocean
In the Indian Ocean you will find this beauty tempting the passing star board traders with her fine deep sea treasures. Beware of her beguiling beauty - she means business. The coasts of Madagascar and Austraila are her favorite sunning grounds. So keep an eye out for this beauty and if she offers you a shiny trinket, be forewarned the price you pay will be a steep one indeed!

When I was done I took a good look at it and I think she kinda reminds me of the girl from the movie The princess Dairies lol. Anyway of to finish other things.....I hope I make some friends here soon. Its getting kinda lonely posting to myself.

12:53pm: quick sketch
This is my brother Ray and his beautiful girlfriend Kelly. The sketch is 2.5" x 3.5" and is modeled from a photo Kelly's talented sister Jen who is a photographer took of them. It was done quick and is ment to capture their essence in fantasy form. I took great joy in making this. It was FUN!!! Hope you enjoy. Maybe in the future I'll finish it in color?

9:35pm: Hello Live Journal community....
Well what can I say? What does the very first entry in an online journal look like?...I dunno lol. Let's see... I'll do this on the fly. I am a freelance artist. I love painting fantasy pieces although I spend a fair share of time doing florals and abstracts for home decor. I'm hoping to find good friends who enjoy similar interests (FAIRIES & FANTASY!!!YEY). I've started selling ACEO's on Ebay...and hopefully some larger pieces soon. I have a lot of time to catch up on and tons to learn still. To me the Ebay community is a wonderful place full of some really great people. Here is my most recent art card up for sale....
